Chapter Elections

Online voting for our 2008-2009 chapter officers will be held May 1-7. Only chapter members can vote. If you have renewed your membership yet do not receive an email by May 1 with a link to the online ballot, please e-mail Anna. Volunteer must be chapter members for the 2008 year. May Meeting

Mark your calendars for our May chapter meeting (date TBD), when our newly elected 2008-2009 chapter officers will be installed. Chapter members will also have the opportunity to vote on proposed changes to the chapter bylaws. For more information, click here.

Annual Conference

STC's 55th Annual Conference, Technical Communication Summit, will be held June 1–4 in Philadelphia this year. For information on registration prices and hotel accommodations, go to the STC website.

June Meeting

Join us in June as conference attendees share their observations and learnings from the various sessions they attended. If you plan to attend the conference, we'd love for you to serve on this panel. Please contact the chapter vice president if interested.

Give of Your “Gifts” to the Mid-South Chapter

Your gifts — in the form of organizational skills, leadership, motivation, volunteer recruitment and so forth — could make a definite impact in the chapter, so please think about serving as a board member. It doesn’t take as much time as you might think, and the benefits to you and to the chapter are significant. We need volunteers for the following positions:

• Secretary
• Public Relations Manager
• Newsletter Editor
• Membership Manager

Volunteering doesn't take as much time as you might think, and the rewards to you and to the chapter are immeasurable. Contact Anna Acerra if you are interested or have questions about specific roles. The chapter’s vitality and continued programs are counting on you!
