"Conducting a Hands-On Usability Study" Workshop
Hosted by the STC Mid-South Chapter

During this full-day workshop, international usability professional Leanne Logan will explain the what, when, where, why, and how of interviewing your users to determine whether your tools are meeting their needs.

As an attendee, you can gain hands-on experience conducting a low-cost, formal usability test, which you can use as a model for usability assessments at work.

Check-in from 9:30 to 9:45 a.m.

Morning and afternoon sessions from 9:45 to 5:00, with 30-minute lunch provided and breaks

Location

Central branch of the Memphis Public Library, 3030 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38111. Click here for a map.

Parking lot entrances are on Poplar Ave and Walnut Grove Rd between Tillman St and S Holmes St. Enter the library through the main lobby. Then go through the doorway on the left, which leads to the meeting rooms, and walk down the hall to the last room, C.

Optional Equipment

Usability testing will be recorded. Attendees are welcome to bring their own equipment, such as a video camera and tripod, digital or film camera, or tape recorder.
