November 2006 Chapter Meeting: Collaborating on Web Sites

For our November chapter meeting, please join us for a panel discussion on the dynamics involved in creating websites in collaborative, or team, environments. Our panelists will address issues such as:

  • In-house vs. outsourced web assistance
  • Processes for website collaboration
  • Roles of contributors on teams
  • Benefits and challenges of web design team settings
  • Future trends in collaboration
  • Recommendations (past education, required skills or knowledge, etc.) for joining a web design team

The panel will be comprised of various web design experts, representing web design teams from Rhodes College, University of Memphis, Physicians Postgraduate Press and Lokion.

6–7 p.m. panel discussion and Q&A

Location:

Central branch of the Memphis Public Library (Meeting Room C), 3030 Poplar Ave. Entrances are on Poplar Ave and Walnut Grove between Tillman St and S Holmes St. Enter the library's lobby. Then go through the doorway on the left, which leads to the meeting rooms, and walk down the hall to the Meeting Room C.
